Best known locally for his extensive work at Durobrivae (as the fort was known in Roman times), he lectures widely in the UK and tutors at the University of Cambridge. He has written on a wide variety of topics and will shortly be publishing a report on the Roman landscape and settlement at Ferry Meadows.

Tickets cost £5, £3 for concessions and Heritage Pass holders.

If you want to know even more about Roman pottery, Dr Upex is also running a Roman pottery handling workshop.
