A group of friends have formed a new band. Now all they have to do is raise the money to get to London to audition for the world’s biggest talent contest.

Costumes, songs and fundraising techniques may divide opinion but one girl has a far more important choice to make. Their journey for fame and fortune is really a journey for something far less glamorous. Something their country doesn’t approve of, something their parents wouldn’t condone. In a culture of instant fame and talent-show ‘stories’, the importance of life and friendship come to the fore.

A tale about friendship, a journey and the risks teenagers take when plunged into an adult world.

Following their massive success with ‘Too Fast’ last year, KYT will stage this fantastic new play as part of the National Theatre’s Connections programme for 2012 for which the National Theatre has commissioned ten plays by British and international writers, exploring stories from around the world to inspire young theatre companies across the UK.
Connections gives young theatre companies the chance to stage a brand new play, written for actors aged 13-19. They get the chance to perform in your home venue and at a festival with other Connections companies. They also receive support at every stage of the project and advice from one of the National Theatre’s directors and from the theatre hosting their festival.
