Normal admission charges apply - FREE to heritage pass holders

Don’t miss your chance to dive into medieval England this Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday 25 – Monday 27 August) at Longthorpe Tower.

Over the three days, the tower will be populated by medieval characters, members of the Medieval Sokemen to bring the building to life for the whole family to enjoy. Visitors can find out what the lord of the manor is having for dinner, learn to write with a quill with a monk from the abbey, see the Barber Surgeon for a cure or learn military drill with the tower guards. There will also be a demonstration of the ‘arming of the Knight’ daily at 3pm.

Visit one of Peterborough’s historic treasures at Longthorpe Tower, the remains of a medieval fortified manor house, built in the 13th century by the Thorpe family. The tower has spectacular medieval wall paintings, the finest in a domestic setting in Western Europe.

Over the Bank Holiday Longthorpe Tower is open 10am-4pm. Normal admission prices apply, and don’t forget that Vivacity Heritage Pass holders get FREE entry.

Why not use the Heritage Bus to travel to the Tower on Bank Holiday Monday?
