Peterborough will be turning Dickensian in February!

February 2012 is the bi-centenary of Charles Dickens’ birth and celebrations are taking place nationally.

On National Libraries Day, 4th February, Local Historian Richard Jones will be re-enacting Charles Dickens, in full costume, popping into various libraries to meet the public and chat about Dickens’ life and work.

Dickens visited Peterborough on a number of occasions, to hold his famed ‘public readings’ in the city.

No need to book, just come along.
