Young Explorer Toddler Sessions

Sessions for toddlers and pre-school children. Little people – bring your parents, carers and grandparents to the museum. A different object and a different gallery every month will inspire story, rhythm, rhyme and craft.
Ideal for 2 – 5 years.

First Thursday of each month
(term time only) 10am – 11.30am, £2 per participating child (babies free).

Sessions include:
Thursday 3 January 2013 – Wake up the New Year with some noise!
A Victorian washing dolly and the Victorian kitchen is explored in our Changing Lives gallery with the story ‘Peace at Last’ and nursery rhymes. Then enjoy making musical instruments to take home and play!

Thursday 7 February 2013 – On your marks…
A fragment of pre-historic pottery and our model of an Iron Age village is explored in our Archaeology Gallery with the story ’3 Billy Goats Gruff’ and nursery rhymes. Then enjoy making some more marks on pieces of clay. These can include footprints or handprints for a loved one to cherish in time for Valentine’s Day.
