Heritage Workshops and Lectures 2014
Roman and Medieval Herbs Workshop
Discover natural and ancient uses for herbs…
Find out how our ancestors used herbs and spices for healing and in the home. Learn about some of the more outlandish things used in bygone times to treat the sick and have a go at making ointments for the skin, shampoo, insect repellent bags amongst other things to take away with you. Plus enjoy an authentic Roman lunch included in the workshop!
Chris Carr is a historian with a wealth of knowledge about everyday life in Roman and Medieval times. She will guide you through making your own remedies, as well as which plants to avoid.
To book, call Flag Fen on 01733 864 663, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Due to popular demand we will be running sessions of this workshop on both Saturday 1 March and Sunday 2 March!
