New for 2011 and taking place daily during the festival, Festival Plus brought dance, film, literature, theatre and a whole lot more to venues across Peterborough.
Festival Plus highlights
- Architects of Air Levity III, a breathtaking sculpture within Cathedral Square from 1 – 4 July. Thousands entered, and immersed themselves in a world of radiant light and colour. Sponsored by Perkins.
- Theatre in Central Park, the perfect backdrop to two productions: Peterborough Mask Theatre’s The Taming of the Shrew, 28 June – 2 July, and The Revellers perform Ben Jonson’s The Alchemist, 5 – 7 July.
- The Key Theatre provided a packed programme throughout Festival Plus.
- Three nights of film. Peterborough Film Society and Peterborough Arts Cinema presented Home and Dry – three nights of documentaries at the John Clare Theatre, from 5 – 7 July.
