Museums & Heritage

Peterborough, and the surrounding area, has a rich history and heritage which tells a fascinating story. Whether you call Peterborough home, live nearby, or are just visiting, you can explore it in lots of different ways.

Visit our historic sites and discover amazing artefacts, book onto a historically-themed tour, take in a talk, or get spooked on a ghost walk. Maybe even come along to, or take part in, the many heritage events the city hosts every year. There is something for everyone to enjoy!

Vivacity’s museums & heritage service operates from three sites: the historic city centre Museum, the Bronze Age site Flag Fen, and the Medieval Longthorpe Tower.
