Peterborough Ghost Walk
Discover more about Peterborough’s most haunted building – the Museum – and most haunted area; the Cathedral Precincts. The walk starts at the Museum before heading around the city centre.
Your costumed guide will entertain and educate in a fun and theatrical way, explaining more about the city’s past, while sending a few chills up the spine. There are no gimmicks or made-up ghosts on this tour – just good, old-fashioned story telling based on traditional and local tales associated with the area – all researched and verified wherever possible.
Due to its gruesome content, we don’t recommend this tour for children under 10 or those of a nervous disposition.
The tour, which has been featured on radio, newspaper and TV, including Channel 4’s ‘The Big Breakfast’ and Living TV’s ‘Most Haunted’, lasts about one and a half to two hours and is suitable for wheelchair users and the visually impaired.
Tickets for the tour are £5 for adults, £3 for children/concessions. Tickets can be bought from the guide or the Peterborough Destination Centre. You can call the Destination Centre on (01733) 452336.

The tour is led by a costumed guide, who shows visitors around the building by candlelight, explaining the various paranormal happenings at the sites where they have taken place, including the back stairs, where people have reported a ghostly servant falling to her death, a phantom girl seen and heard in recent months, the story of the museum’s most notorious ghost, the ‘Lonely ANZAC’ Thomas Hunter.
