Orton Library is situated in the OrtonGate Centre next to Wilkinsons.

• Adaptive Technology which allows access to computing for those with disabilities

Regular events and activities

• Storytime – Thursdays 10.00am to 10.30am and Saturdays 11.00am to 11.30am
• Baby rhyme time – Mondays 10.30am to 11.00am
• Teenage reading group – First Wednesday of every month 3.15pm to 4.15pm
• Orton reading group – First Wednesday of every month at 10.15am to 11.15am
• Orton evening reading group – Last Thursday of every month 5.45pm to 6.45pm (new members wanted!)

Knit and Natter group launching 6th March!!

• Do you like knitting?
• Old, young, beginners, skilled, male, female, knitter or maybe you’re more of a crocheter. In this group everyone works at their own level and speed. This is ideal if you have never attempted knitting before and want to learn the basics. If you already knit, it’s a great way to share your experience. Everyone welcome!
• 10am to 11.30am, every Tuesday from the 6th March

Teeny Weeny Readers every Saturday

• 11am to 11.30am
• Suitable for ages 5 – 7yrs
• Just drop in

Chatterbooks after school reading group, second Wednesday of every month

• 3.30pm – 4.30pm
• Suitable for ages 8 – 11yrs
• Ask staff at Orton Library for details.

Free Computer Sessions

• Silver surfers – Mondays 1.30pm to 3pm
• Online basics – Wednesday and Friday mornings 10.30am-12noon
• Online services – Thusdays 5pm to 6pm
