Regular activities and events

  • Once upon a time Stories and Rhymes. Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10.30-11.00am and Fridays and Saturdays, 2.15-2.45pm. FREE.
  • Baby rhyme time. Rhymes and Instruments. Thursdays 1.30- 2.00pm. FREE.
  • Albert the Alligator Storycraft session. Stories, crafts and rhymes. FREE sessions for under 5’s. Every Friday, 10.30-11.00am.
  • Chatterbooks reading group for 10-12 year olds. First Thursday of the month, 4-5pm.
  • Chatterbooks reading group for 4-6 year olds. Third Saturday of the month, 2.30-3.30pm.
  • Fast and Furious reading group for 7-9 year olds. Fourth Saturday of the month, 2.30-3.30pm.
  • Lexicon book Group for teenagers. Second Thursday of the month, 4-5pm.
  • Homework Club (years 3 to 8), every Saturday (excluding holidays) from 10.00am to 12.00pm.
  • City Reading Group. Fourth Satuday of the month, 2.00pm to 3.00 pm. New members wanted. Please contact library staff for the
    date of the next meeting.
  • Knit and Natter Group, fornightly on Fridays 11.00am-12.30pm. Please ask staff for the next date. Everyone welcome, bring along your own knitting and patterns. Refreshments available for a small charge.

Free computer courses

  • Online Basics every Monday 5.00-6.30pm, Tuesday 10.30-12.00pm, Thursday 2.00pm-3.30pm and Silver Surfers Friday 11.00am-12.00pm.
  • Job club computer sessions every Monday 10.30-12.00pm.
  • Online Services and Using Ebay

Welfare Benefits Advice

  • Free Welfare Benefits advice sessions are provided by Gladca (Gladstone District Community Association) staff at Peterborough Central Library every Thursday 1-3pm. To book a place please call Nasreen Akhtar at Gladca on 01733 566 343.
