About Vivacity

Vivacity is an independent, not-for-profit organisation with charitable status. We manage many of Peterborough’s most popular culture and leisure facilities on behalf of Peterborough City Council.

Vivacity provides a myriad of opportunities for people to take part in cultural and leisure activities. Art, heritage, learning and sport form the mainstay of our services, with the specific purpose to help people:

  • view and learn about art at the City Gallery
  • be part of the audience at one of the many shows we stage at the Key Theatre or make theatre by performing on stage through one of our youth programmes, community plays or musicals
  • learn about our heritage at Peterborough’s museum or Flag Fen
  • connect to the wider world through free internet services at one of our ten libraries and where you can borrow from our collection of thousands of books, audio items and much more
  • learn about the recent and distant past through our archives service
  • join one million others in enjoying a range of activities at one of Vivacity’s leisure centres – from swimming to badminton to footbal and for fun, to keep fit, or to excel at your chosen sport.
