'Introduction to the Library' sessions introduce children to their local library and to all that the library service has to offer. Visits include a story or activity, tailored to the age of the class, and lots of time for students to explore the children’s area of the library. Engaging with the library service encourages children to read for pleasure outside of school, showing them a fun, exciting source of books they can choose from for free and introducing them to a service their families may not realise they have access to. Sessions are tailored to your requirements and there is the option to sign children up for a library card as part of the visit via a form sent home to parents/carers. Introduction to the library sessions are free of charge and can be arranged at any Vivacity library.
