Themed Class visits offer an opportunity for learning outside the classroom while deepening students’ knowledge of how the library service works and the ways they can use the library materials to build on their work in school. Visits are based around the topic of your choice and can be tailored to suit your requirements. Examples of topics sessions have been based on in the past include the Stone Age, Forces and Motion, and the Tudors. Activities are created to use the library resources, primarily the children’s non-fiction collection but including fiction books and archive materials when appropriate. Themed class visits are charged at £1 per child and last approximately an hour.

Available at Central, Bretton, Orton, Werrington, Stanground, Woodston, Dogsthorpe and Hampton Libraries.
